Schofield, Barbini & Hoehn Inc. is the leading Land Surveying & Civil Engineering firm on Martha’s Vineyard located in Vineyard Haven, MA. It’s predecessor firm of Schofield Brothers Inc had been in business since 1965 and originally came to the Vineyard to work with Hollis Smith on the development of the Mink Meadows residential subdivision. On January 1, 1991, Schofield Brother’s Inc. employees, Doug Hoehn and Richard Barbini, purchased the Vineyard branch and gave the company its current name. On January 1, 2008, Doug Hoehn purchased the ownership interest of Richard Barbini and Mr. Hoehn is now the sole principal of the firm. Now employing 10 full time staff, Schofield, Barbini & Hoehn Inc. has been involved in thousands of private and municipal surveying & engineering projects on Martha’s Vineyard for over 40 years. We have developed cooperative working relationships with all local and regional permitting boards and have accumulated the island’s most extensive historical research and information. We are committed to excellent service and affordable efficiency, using the latest technology combined with careful observance and understanding of current land-use regulations, laws and the Vineyard’s unique & fragile eco-system.
